Free on Tuesdays: The Butterfly Pavilion

The Smithsonian Natural History Museum gives visitors the opportunity to learn about Animals & Ecosystems, Human Diversity, Earth Sciences, and more through exhibits, galleries, hands-on opportunities, and more. One of their most popular destinations is their live Butterfly Pavilion.

This enclosed, indoor garden is full of butterflies of all sizes, shapes, and colors flying around. In fact — many often land on you (but don’t touch!). Timed tickets (fee-based) are required for entry, however, are free on Tuesdays beginning at 10 am. Learn more about the Butterfly Pavilion at the Natural History Museum here.
