This event has passed, but check out more Scouting events here.

Girl Scout Brownies are invited to experience the wonder and excitement of a circa 1900 World’s Fair while earning their “Celebrating Community” Brownie badge!

On August 4, 2018, girls can complete a scavenger hunt around historic Memorial Continental Hall, learn about state flags, and listen to music performed at the World’s Fair. How do people celebrate their community? What makes a World’s Fair a special celebration?

Each participant will receive a “Celebrating Community” packet with games and activities to help them earn their badge. Registration fees cover program supplies, as well as the “Celebrating Community” badge. Other activities include homemade ice cream, live music, arts & crafts projects, and national pavilions sponsored by local cultural centers and embassies.

The fun all takes place at Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Museum, located at 1776 D St. NW, Washington, DC 20006.
