Easter Egg Hunt at Sully Historic Site
Bring the little ones on April 8-9, 2017, for one of the most anticipated parts of the Easter season — egg hunting! At this special spring-inspired opportunity, it’s so much more than just an egg hunt — kids will also visit with adorable farm animals, play games like the egg roll, enjoy Easter-themed arts and crafts, and more! Pre-register and learn more.
This family-friendly event, open to children age 2 to 8, takes place at Sully Historic Site, located at 3650 Historic Sully Way, Chantilly, VA 20151.
Sully Historic Site, more commonly known as Sully Plantation, is both a Virginia landmark and nationally-registered historic place in Chantilly, VA. An oasis of the past, Sully reflects the history of Fairfax County. Completed in 1799 by Richard Bland Lee, the main house at Sully combines aspects of Georgian and Federal architecture. Richard Bland Lee was Northern Virginia’s first Representative to Congress, as well as General Robert E. Lee’s uncle.
Sully also includes original outbuildings, representative slave quarter, and gardens. Guided tours highlight the early 19th-century life of the Richard Bland Lee family, tenant farmers, and enslaved African Americans. Programs reflect the history of Fairfax County through the 20th-century.
