Ensembles for Everyone

Calendar > March Events

Join the Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra on March 18, 2017, for a fun-filled, interactive concert for children of all ages and those with special needs. Everyone is encouraged to participate using percussion instruments loaned by the LSYO and musical craft items, which have been created by Cool Spring Elementary fifth graders part of the “One to the World” project.

The program starts with the very popular “Rossini Overture to the Barber of Seville.” Then journey down a mighty river with Smetana’s exhilarating “Moldau” (the River). Everyone will sing along with the orchestra as two fun songs about rain are played. The program will end with an orchestral performance of the classic Disney song “It’s a Small World.”

Afterward, join Loudoun Symphony Youth Orchestra for refreshments and post-concert activities. Music and Arts will host an “instrument petting zoo” so attendees can touch and try various instruments. Plus, there will be a drum circle, crafting table, and more!

Admission is free, but each person must be ticketed. Learn more. Join the fun at Stone Bridge High School, 43100 Hay Rd., Ashburn, VA 20147. Connect: Online | Facebook | Twitter | (571) 252-2200.
