The Town of Herndon’s Farmer’s Market, held on Thursdays from April 20, 2017, to November, is more than just a great place to get fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats. While there, stick around for some family entertainment, too! Farmers’ Market Fun Days are free shows and performances for kids held at Town Hall Square just steps away from the Farmer’s Market. Learn more.

Rocknoceros — a trio of three musical best friends — has entertained tens of thousands of fans throughout the country for more than a decade! With their clever turns of phrase and bright melodies, they are favorite of toddlers all the way to ‘tweens! Not only does the band perform at many venues throughout the area, but they also provide music lessons for everyone in the family. You can practice your favorite Rocknoceros songs with their sing-along features found on the band’s website.

Rainbow Rock Band
Kids won’t be able to resist the fun, upbeat sounds of the Rainbow Rock Band, spearheaded by the bright-haired Rainbow Lady and her other musical friends! The band performs at numerous venues throughout the area and their shows, intended for children up to seven-years-old, encourage participants to play along with some of the provided tambourines and shakers. You can also check out Rainbow Rock Band’s recent recordings and take the music with you — their 2015 album was awarded a 2015 Fun Stuff Award by Parent’s Choice.

Groovy Nate’s original music often features songs with a message — topics have included lessons on sharing, the joys of reading, discovering inside beauty, and the importance of eating healthy foods.

The Uncle Devin Show
The Uncle Devin Show is an interactive musical experience for children that use percussion instruments to cultivate their minds — a dynamic cross between Fat Albert and Schoolhouse. Children will gain an understanding of the history of percussion and why it is the easiest, oldest, and most diverse form of musical creativity.

The popular composer and performer of children’s songs, Yosi has devoted himself to his true calling: bringing a joyful experience to children everywhere through his music! Yosi performs more than 450 high-energy, humorous children’s shows each year, to overwhelmingly enthusiastic audiences!
These special shows, selected with kids in mind are free and open to the public, beginning at 10:30 am. If you miss these family-friendly shows, you’re still in luck! Farmers’ Market Acoustic Sounds, more live entertainment, will also be held within the market area, 12-1 pm, May through August.
