Founders Day Festival
Reston is turning 53-years-young! Bring your friends and family to Lake Anne Plaza on April 8, 2017, to celebrate Founder’s Day with an afternoon full of family-friendly activities. Take a ride on the giant, 50-foot Ferris Wheel, hop in the moon bounce, get your face painted festively, and much more!
Live music will be performed by many local groups, including the Langston Hughes Middle School Jazz Ensemble, the Lake Anne Drumming Ensemble, the Reston Chorale, and Catchin’ Toads to name a few. Plus, take a stroll along the public art walk around Lake Anne and even catch screenings of a few special films about Reston’s history and dedication to the arts.
Most events are free of charge; however, a few will cost a nominal amount to benefit the Reston Historical Trust and Friends of Reston. Learn more.
