GMU Scout Geology Workshops

This event has passed, but check out more Scouting events here.

Scouts, Boys and Girls, are invited to a series of Geology workshops April 21-22, 2018, sponsored by Dr. Julia Nord and The George Mason University Department of Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Earth Sciences.

Have a Scout? Check out this dedicated Facebook group: Scouting Events & Activities in NOVA.

This STEM Program consists of 3-hour sessions and welcomes all girl and boy youth from 4th to 12th grade (4th-5th grade on Saturday and 6th-11th grade on Sunday). This event is a great springboard into BSA’s Geology and STEM awards. Each session also includes a guided tour of the GMU Physical Geology and Paleontology labs! Pre-registration is required for all workshops.

This Scouting event is hosted at Exploratory Hall at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Find a campus map and parking map here.
