Though she may be most famously known for her contributions to the music industry, with hits like I Will Always Love You and Islands in the Stream, Dolly Parton is also the creator of the Imagination Library, a mail book gifting program that provides children up to 5-years-old with free books!

Started in 1995, this book program was inspired by both Dolly Parton’s father, who was unable to read and write, and her steadfast belief that the seeds that dreams are made of are often found within the words and illustrations of books! Dolly’s program, which is now available to children in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and even Australia, sends out over 1 million high-quality, age-appropriate books each month!

Interested in inspiring your child’s love of reading and joining in Dolly’s mission? Available to children birth through 5-years of age, parents should first check online for availability[1] in their area. Once confirmed, the rest of the registration process is easy! Building your little one’s library has never been easier! Learn more about this wonderful program online.
