A wonderfully patriotic event awaits you and your family this year at George Washington’s Mount Vernon! On June 30 and July 1, 2017, the plantation home hosts Independence Day celebrations like no other!

George Washington’s cherished home will be open both evenings for visitors to enjoy musical performances, choreographed fireworks, games, dancing, and more! Meet “General and Mrs. Washington” and see how ice-cream was made long ago. Guests will also have an opportunity to visit Washington’s Tomb at night and check out the blacksmith shop.
