Join in the National Archives’ annual tradition as they celebrate our nation’s independence with a full day of family-friendly activities! On July 4, 2018, visitors to our nation’s capital can hear the Declaration of Independence read aloud, including greetings from Allison Seymour from Fox 5 News, and also enjoy a more dramatic reenactment including historical characters Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and more!
Enjoy the presentation of colors by the Continental Color Guard, live musical performances by the Fife and Drum Corps and Brass Connection, and of course, the National Independence Day Parade!
Plan to be at the steps of the National Archives Museum to kick-off the day’s events! Learn more about the celebration, including transportation and schedule information online here.
The National Archives Museum is located at 701 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20408.
