Historic Old Town Alexandria transforms into an art-lover’s paradise September 16-17, 2017! The community is invited to enjoy the displays of more than 200 local and national artists at their annual King Street Art Festival. Enjoy artists and craftsmen specializing in jewelry, hand-crafted apparel and decor, paintings, life-size sculptures, glasswork, photography, ceramics, and more.
This outdoor, two-day festival also boasts live performances, hands-on activities, and art-inspired happenings! The Art League’s popular Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser also returns to the festival, featuring 1,400 handmade ceramic bowls and local artisan ice cream. Enjoy the ice cream and take home your bowl for just $15 per bowl!
During the festival, the Torpedo Factory Art Center will also be open. Visitors are invited to explore more than 80 studios and seven galleries filled with handmade art by more than 165 local artists. In many cases, watch the artist live!
