Two days full of re-enactments, military technique demos, and informational sessions await you at this family-friendly event!

Air Show & Open House
Calling all future pilots! Your presence is requested at Manassas Regional Airport for the 2018 Air Show! This annual event features both civilian and military airshow performers from around North America in aircraft ranging from warbirds and vintage airplanes to unlimited class acrobatic and modern-day military marvels of engineering.

Flying Circus Airshow
Come one, come all to witness the fantastic feats of flight at the Flying Circus Airshow! The Circus opens for the season on May 6, 2018! Aircraft and their pilots take to the skies to perform death-defying stunts and aerial demonstrations that are sure to leave you speechless!

Virginia Renaissance Faire
Discover the beauty and magic from the age of chivalry and romance once again this year at the Virginia Renaissance Faire! See how the Lake Anne Winery in Spotsylvania comes alive with traditional and beloved activities, entertainment, and wares from the Renaissance. Be knighted by the Queen, have an archery lesson, feast on turkey legs, and more as you stroll through a delightful English country village!

Spring Festival at the Walker Nature Center‏
Enjoy a free festival complete with entertainment, live animals, arts and crafts, and more! Plus, enjoy canoe/kayak rentals on Lake Audubon (fee-based), fishing activities, a native plant sale, and more!

Kids in the Park
This May Sterling is home to a special event bringing the Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center, Claude Moore Park, and the Heritage Museum together! In addition to a scavenger, enjoy splatter painting, a bubble ally, chalk walk, blacksmithing and colonial cooking demonstrations, games, and so much more!

Spring Farm Day
This May, enjoy one of Frying Pan Farm Park’s most anticipated events — Spring Farm Day! This annual opportunity is packed with family fun including live cow milking, sheep shearing, and antique farm equipment demonstrations. Plus, there are plenty of hands-on opportunities too, like games, arts and crafts, a corn bin (like a sandbox, but with kernels!), and more.

McLean Day
McLean’s biggest annual event will feature live entertainment, exhibitors, and food trucks. Take a ride on one of the carnival attractions, play midway games, visit the petting zoo, or attend a tennis clinic. Little ones and adults will love the dancers and musicians performing on both The Alden Main Stage and The Alden Children’s Stage throughout the day.

Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival
Enjoy an 11-block art walk and is regarded as one of the “top five” outdoor festivals in the country! In addition to the art exhibits, the festival will include live entertainment, innovative dance performances, and the Family Art Park featuring free art and crafts all weekend.

This special day is dedicated to families and those interested in learning about the latest and greatest products, services, and local opportunities for little ones. While parents have the opportunity to meet and shop with local family-friendly vendors, kids will enjoy the inflatables, carnival games and rides, and activities alongside plenty of arts & crafts, food, and even live entertainment!

Carnival of Kindness
Join the Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation and the nZone for an afternoon of kindness — a day full of arts and crafts, food, games, prizes, dancing, and so much more! See princesses and superheroes in action, get your face painted, and join the Stillbrave Renegades for all kinds of family fun.

Blast Off: Free Summer Wolf Trap Concert
Kick off Wolf Trap’s summer season with a free and indisputably phenomenal performance by the United States Marine Band! Known as “The President’s Own,” the Marine Band’s show, “Blast Off” will include all your concert band favorites. Plus, stick around for a dazzling firework display afterward and watch the sky come to life!

What better way to welcome summer than by spending Memorial Day weekend with your family at Lovettsville’s annual Mayfest! Enjoy a day of sun, family activities, fantastic food, and live entertainment in the heart of Lovettsville. Kids will love the Fun Zone complete with relay races, a pie eating contest, rock climbing, pony rides, and more. Parents will enjoy live music, local wine, and even a cornhole tournament!

Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival
You’re sure to be on cloud nine the entire weekend of the Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival! This annual event features mass hot air balloon ascensions, two beautiful balloon glows at dusk on select evenings, and live entertainment on the main stage. But if you really want to get carried away, balloon rides will be available for purchase!
