Once owned by Thomas Jefferson and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Natural Bridge State Park is home to a 215-foot tall natural bridge, part of a limestone gorge carved out by Cedar Creek. Plus, the Park also boasts beautiful subterranean caverns, where visitors can descend more than 34 stories deep to experience the beauty!

The Natural Bridge Historic Hotel & Conference Center, neighboring Natural Bridge State Park, is hosting their annual Scout Day on November 4, 2017! There are many opportunities available for Scouts and their families, including:

• A visit to see the deepest commercial caverns on the East Coast
• Monacan Indian tour with fire starting demonstration
• Rope making
• Scavenger hunt
• Geocaching
• Herpetology & K-9 program
• Meteorology 101
• and more!

Plus archery and gem mining for your Scout, den, or troop are also available for an extra fee.

Some activities require pre-registration to ensure supplies and space, however, this special day is designed for troops to visit most opportunities at their leisure. Learn more (see the registration form here). Natural Bridge is located in Rockbridge County, home to historic Buena Vista and Lexington, VA.
