Free! How to Avoid Overscheduling & Overindulging Your Child

This event has passed, but check out our calendar for fun today, this week, this month!

As parents, we want to give our children lives filled with enrichment and experiences. However, have you found yourself asking when enough is enough? Or, perhaps wondering if the kids are too busy?

Join Montessori of Gainesville – Casa dei Bambini for a free parent education seminar featuring Dr. Rene Hackney: How to Avoid Overscheduling & Overindulging Your Child on January 20, 2018, 9:30-11:30 am.

Dr. Rene will offer practical strategies for parents and address the following questions:

• Why do we tend to overschedule and overindulge our children?
• How can we achieve a better balance between scheduled and unscheduled time for our family?
• What are the guidelines parents should follow on scheduling activities based on age?
• How should we set expectations regarding acquiring “stuff “for our children?
• How many toys are too many toys for my child? How does it change by age?
• What types of toys are ideal for my child?
• Is there an ideal way for toys to be stored and rotated?
• If I can afford to buy my children lots of toys, why shouldn’t I?

Admission to this special event, hosted by Montessori of Gainesville – Casa dei Bambini, is free and is open to the community. No RSVP is necessary — just bring a friend and show up!

Montessori of Gainesville – Casa dei Bambini is located at 14130 Glenkirk Rd., Gainesville, VA 20155; (703) 754-0946.
