Autobahn Indoor Speedway, now with two Northern Virginia locations, offers children as young as 8 (and at least 48″ inches tall) the chance to drive their high-performance karts! Whether you come with friends, family, or for a party — Autobahn Indoor Speedway has constructed the perfect arena to serve geared-up racers. Autobahn’s 40,000 square feet facility is the largest completely indoor karting facility in Virginia. Racers drive unique F1-inspired, high-speed Italian pro-carts that reach speeds up to 50 mph! Race into Central Park Funland for a day of family fun! Racers of all ages can enjoy one of the four outdoor go-kart tracks this park has to offer! Drivers and passengers can race for as little as $2 per person, which means low-cost fun for everyone though pricing may vary by age and track! All passengers must be 36-inches or taller, and racers can get ready to ride on some of the park’s tracks starting at 8-years old and 46-inches tall. Drivers that present a valid driver’s license can ride with a sidekick, 36-inches or taller, in their Double Panther karts. Central Park Funland is open for high-speed fun year-round, weather-permitting.

American Indoor Karting

Virginia Beach anyone? It’s not just for sand and the sun — it’s also for speedy fun! American Indoor Karting offers an unforgettable indoor racing experience. Take a few laps around the track in one of their quick karts powered by Honda. Visitors age 8-15, at least 48-inches tall, and 70-180 lbs can experience the action in a Junior Kart. Not enough for you? If you meet the criteria and have the guts, strap into a Super Kart a zip by your rivals. Not just anyone can ride in one of these speed machines; you must first qualify with their race officials. After your race, you’ll receive detailed race report, hopefully, to use as bragging rights. Purchase a membership for wheels and deals, or check out their pricing for single races if you’re making a quick day-trip. American Indoor Karting is open Tuesday-Sunday, Summer-Winter, with varying seasonal hours.

Adventure Park USA is a family entertainment park that has it all, but if you’ve got racing on your mind, you might want to head straight to the go-karts! The family is sure to have an exciting afternoon of competition as they blaze by each other on one of their outdoor tracks. Rookies 48-inches or taller can get ready to ride, or those 58-inches or taller can hit the family tracks! Still want to race but don’t meet the height requirement to drive? No problem! Adventure Park USA has passenger karts for riders 4-years old and up, but must with a licensed driver 18-years or older. The park is open year-round, 7-days a week; hours and prices vary by season. Go-Kart Raceway

Ready, set, and roll on over to Go-Kart Raceway to experience one of Maryland’s largest outdoor race courses! This twist and turn packed course features a half-mile of course for karts and races of all ages and levels of experience. Go-Kart Raceway offers single and double go-karts for drivers that like to team up on the track or race independently. Anyone 8-years or older and 4.5-foot or taller can hit the track for fast-paced fun. Drivers 16 and older can head over with their fearless partner to a double kart. Have a group gathering? You can rent the track on days/times where the track is closed to the public, with a reservation. Days and hours of operation are subject to change and weather permitting. If you’re looking for a family-friendly activity in the Bladensburg, MD-area, check out Go-Kart Track for an exciting outdoor racing experience. Drivers can stop by year-round for an intense afternoon of racing fun. Drivers 54-inches and taller should come ready to strap into the driver’s seat, but you must be at least 18-years old to drive, and 3-years-old to ride in a double kart. For more information, head over to their website.

Open year-round, this family fun center is full of thrills. Hop on one of their three outdoor race tracks and show your friends and family what you’ve got! Riders and racers 3-years and older can find a track that’s just right for them. The Go-Kart Track offers three track options to suit your needs. The Junior track is designed for younger racers that are 42-inches and taller. Check out the family track for single or double karts; riders that are at least 3-years of age can accompany a driver at least 16-years old on this track. Think you’re an expert and really want to fly? The drift track is the place for you to show off your skills. Single rides and discount books are available for purchase.

Go-Karts Plus in Williamsburg is an outdoor racing track with four action-packed tracks to choose from. Families of all ages can enjoy all the fun this park has to offer, with tracks designed to suit. Drivers 60” or taller can hit the Super StocKart with passengers that are at least 40-inches tall. Speed racers from 40-58” tall can ride as a passenger on the Figure Eight track, and if you’re at least 58” tall, you can hop into the driver’s seat! The Euro Track is an exhilarating track designed for drivers 54” or taller, with passengers allowed to join in at 40” tall! If you need to brush up on your driving skills, test out the Rookie Track; you must be at least 46” tall to drive these karts and because they’re single-seaters, you’ll be flying solo! Ticket prices range from $1.50 to $50.00, but be sure to check their website for specials! Thunderbolt Indoor Karting

Does your family have the need for speed? If so, you need to check out Thunderbolt Indoor Kart that features electric karting, which means faster speeds and environmentally-friendly racing! Thunderbolt is open 7-days a week and offers two racing options: adult with 16 laps with average speeds of 45 mph and junior with 12 laps with average speeds of 25 mph. Junior racers must be at least 48-inches tall to race. Each race is approximately 10-minutes long, and all safety equipment is provided.
