Introducing a summer slide of the non-academic kind, Roundtop Mountain Resort has the ultimate adventure waiting for you and your family! The Super Slide makes its official debut this year, and it’s the perfect way to get active and beat the summer heat! Grab your swimsuits and get ready to slip and slide your way down 600-feet of wet track!
Admission not only includes unlimited rides down the Super Slide, but unlimited rides in their OGO Balls, too! OGO Balls (aka Zorb or Zorbing) are 11-foot diameter inflatable balls with a 6-foot ball suspended in the middle. The riders climb into the inner ball and enjoy a totally unique ride down the tubing runs. OGO balls have 5 gallons of fresh water in them so you and up to two friends body surf inside during the ride! Roundtop is one of only 3 places in the United States where you can OGO!
Admission ALSO includes scenic chairlift rides and access to The Canopy Crawl, The Woods, and Alpine Traverse, and more (think: giant, fun tree house featuring wobbly bridges, net crawls, a Tarzan swing, and a number of climbing elements, all close to the ground. Plus, enjoy unlimited rides on their 3-story, 100-foot long zip lines, bumper boat rides, and a 4,800-square-foot maze Cedar Maze! Learn more.
DullesMoms.com had the pleasure of visiting and has these pro tips and notes:
• The Super Slide and OGO Balls are on the hill that is home to winter’s snow tubes. The magic carpet or stand-up lift that would normally take you to the top is not operational during the summer. So, guests need to walk up, carrying their tube with each visit to the top. This can be challenging for littles ones and the parents that inevitably get stuck carrying everything.
• At the foot of the Super Slide is Roundtop’s Mountain lodge boasting drinks and snacks, indoor seating, an observation deck, and a bathroom with lockers.
• Also at the foot of the Super Slide is an additional changing area and cubbies for storage.
Plus, while there, enjoy all Roundtop has to offer:
Roundtop’s aerial challenge course is great for groups; however, there are also open climb opportunities on select dates for individuals and families, too. From climbing walls and zip lines to multi-story challenges, you’re sure to feel the thrill and make some great summer memories! Click here to view select open climb dates.
Roundtop’s paintball operation is the largest and most varied in central PA. With 11 fields, including the Town Field, airball field, fort, and scenario fields, they have the perfect field for your game. Plus, for younger players, they offer SplatMaster, a low-impact game similar to paintball for ages 9 to 12. Learn more here.
