Special Olympics Virginia’s Young Athletes Program

Children with developmental and intellectual disabilities ages 2-7 are invited to participate in Special Olympics Virginia’s Young Athletes Program. Young Athletes introduces children with intellectual disabilities and their families to the world of Special Olympics by pursuing the following goals:

1) Engage children through developmentally appropriate play activities designed to foster physical, cognitive and social development.
2) Welcome family members of children with intellectual disabilities to the Special Olympics network of support.
3) Raise awareness about the abilities of children with intellectual disabilities through inclusive peer participation, demonstrations and other events.

This free event is on Saturday, June 13, 2015, 9-10 am at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St. SE, Vienna, VA 22180. Pre-registration is required by emailing [email protected].
