The Compassion Experience

Calendar > October Events

Did you know more than 700 million people in developing countries live on less than $1.90 per day, facing challenges most Americans never will? To give our community a better understanding, Compassion International has created a traveling opportunity called The Compassion Experience. This interactive tour immerses visitors in the daily life of a child from a poor, developing country.

This very special event will be hosted by Chantilly Bible Church October 27-30, 2017. During this self-guided tour, with the use of an iPod and headset (provided), visitors will see 1,700-square-feet of interactive space depicting the homes of children from Kenya and the Dominican Republic, walk through schools and markets, and hear life-changing stories of hope — all from the perspective of a child whose life began in poverty.

This free event, which is appropriate for all ages, is an excellent opportunity for anyone who has never had the chance to travel outside the US to get a glimpse of what life can be like in developing countries. Visitors are encouraged to make a reservation; however, walk-ins are welcome. Groups of 20 or more should email [email protected] to reserve their space.

This special event is hosted by Chantilly Bible Church, located at 4390 Pleasant Valley Rd., Chantilly, VA 20151.
