Virginia Railway Express’ Santa Trains

Every year, kids and their families are invited to take a magical train ride with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and their holiday helpers on Virginia Railway Express’ (VRE) Santa Trains! On December 9, 2017you’ll have the chance to enjoy this special round-trip excursion from one of five of VRE’s stations, including Fredericksburg, Manassas, Burke Centre, Spotsylvania, and Woodbridge.

Typically, stations offer multiple rides, though some stations may be more limited. However, despite the availability, these highly anticipated rides with this holiday’s number one man always sell out — so mark your calendars! Tickets for the Santa Trains will go on sale November 20, 2017; half of the tickets will be sold at ticket outlets, half sold online, and tickets cannot be reserved or sold in advance. All passengers, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be ready to meet children and their families, as well as offer information that promotes rail safety and Operation Lifesaver’s “Look, Listen, and Live” campaign. There will also be plenty of Santa’s helpers joining in handing out candy canes and coloring books, along with high school choral groups and other holiday joy bringers!
