Walk-Up Wednesdays

These events have passed, but check out our calendar for fun today, this week, this month!

This April (2018), the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture is hosting Walk-Up Wednesdays as a way to test out a no-pass entry option for museum visitors!

Enter the museum without an advanced time entry pass and enjoy all that this Smithsonian staple has to offer. Although priority will be given to those already issued an advanced time pass, entrance into the museum will be permitted on a first come first served basis for those individuals visiting on Wednesdays in April. For more information on the National Museum of African American History’s time-entry passes and visiting policy, please click here.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture invites you to join them to celebrate powerful moments in African American history. Opened on September 24, 2016, the Museum serves as the only national museum dedicated to housing documents, contributions, and artifacts of African American life, history, and culture. View more than 36,000 artifacts while learning about historical highlights, explore African American culture, and discover what it means to be an American. Learn more about the Smithsonian’s 19th museum here.

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture is located at 1400 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20560.
