The National Zoo becomes a twinkling winter wonderland once again this year during their annual ZooLights event November 24, 2017, through January 1, 2018! Free and open to the public, the Zoo hosts plenty of festive seasonal attractions and fun for all to enjoy, including their dazzling light show set to music! More than 500,000 LED lights transform the zoo, making your visit even more spectacular!

Enjoy live music; winter treats like eggnog, cider, and s’mores; and shopping to your heart’s content! Don’t forget to visit the animal exhibit buildings, take a ride on The Smithsonian’s National Zoo Choo-Choo, go Snow-less Tubing, or spin ‘round on the Speedwell Foundation Conservation Carousel!

ZooLights’ special events also include BrewLights, Military Night, and members-only opportunities for FONZ. Some of these military and FONZ perks include discounts on gift shop items and parking, complimentary passes for ZooLights attractions, and even complimentary refreshments!
