Aquarium Sleepovers

This event has been canceled.

An overnight adventure awaits you at the National Aquarium!

This capital treasure holds animals, live coral reefs, and exhibits allowing you to get up close and personal with a variety of creatures throughout an evening.

The Aquarium Sleepover provides guests, 8 and older, an opportunity to explore behind-the-scenes areas, walk the shark catwalk (where sharks swim just inches below), and even check out the colony of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. The overnight excursion also includes a live encounter with the Living Seashore, the aquarium’s interactive touch pool exhibit, as well as a show in the 4D Immersion Theatre.

2020 dates include:

Mar 6, 20, & 27, 2020
Apr 3, 17, & 24, 2020
May 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29, 2020

As the night winds down, grab your evening snack and set up your sleeping bag before falling asleep under the watchful eye of blacktip reef sharks. In the morning, feel free to stay for a while as your ticket includes admission to the museum for a full day of exploration!

Unfamiliar with the National Aquarium? The National Aquarium is consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top three aquariums. In fact, it’s Maryland’s largest paid tourist attraction, home to more than 20,000 fish, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and marine mammals living in award-winning habitats!

The Aquarium boasts a wide variety of exhibits, but visitor favorites include a multi-level tropical rain forest, the Australian Outback, and most impressively, an Atlantic Coral Reef exhibit featuring hundreds of colorful tropical fish, sharks, eels, and more inhabiting a fabricated reef in a 335,000-gallon, 13-foot-deep, open-air aquarium.
