Who says summer camps are only for kids?! Arcola Church is excited to welcome children, youth, and adults to a week full of art, rhythm, instruments, singing, dancing, and more at Summer in the Arts Camp!

Summer in the Arts at Arcola Church encompasses four performing and visual arts camps for rising 3rd graders through adults. Camps are led by a staff of professional musicians, artists, and teachers who pass on their genuine love of their crafts to their campers and students.

Making camp convenient for parents, before and aftercare is now available for kids in rising grades 3-8. Morning care is 7:30-9 am, while aftercare is 4-6 pm; learn more and register.

Exploring the Arts Camp
July 22-26, 2024 • Rising Grades 3-6

Campers will explore performing and visual arts basics by rotating between daily core classes in art, rhythm, voice, and instruments. In the afternoon, students can attend the electives they chose before camp (selections take place in June), which include drama, dance, guitar, ukulele, photography, strings, and more! Fun outdoor games and camp traditions like a water day are scattered throughout the week.

Musical Drama Camp: Presenting Mary Poppins Jr.
July 22-26, 2024 (+ important dates below) • Rising Grades 7-12

Campers will integrate all the elements of showcasing a musical theatre production at this full-day drama camp! Guided by musical theater teachers and experienced performers through a workshop (July 16), auditions (July 17 & 18), and a camp week of rehearsals. Campers will prepare and perform the show on July 26-27, 2024!

Orchestra Adventures Camp
July 22-26, 2024 • Rising Grades 6-12

Campers will spend the morning in their chosen beginner or intermediate/advanced path on their violin, viola, or cello. In the afternoon, they’ll have the opportunity to attend the electives they chose before camp (selections take place in June), including drama, dance, guitar, ukulele, photography, and more! Fun outdoor games and camp traditions like water days are scattered throughout the week.

Evening Arts Camp
July 22-25, 2024 • High School Students & Adults

Arcola Church’s evening camp is offered for adults and high schoolers who have always wanted to explore new artistic endeavors through art, singing, or learning to play an instrument! Class offerings include art, beginning/intermediate guitar, learning to read music, and more! Class times are held in the evenings to accommodate daytime work schedules.
