Great question! It is always nice to have a bright, filled room, especially when the kids need to get up and get going. Some suggestions that MOSS has, if you are considering remodeling or updating your kitchen, include:

• More natural light: if you have a small window into your kitchen, consider a larger one that would let in more light. Yes, this is a big change, but it would benefit the room as a whole.

• Install recessed lighting: consider adding recessed lights throughout the ceiling in the kitchen.

• Under-cabinet lights: brighten up the lower walls and countertops with small under cabinet lights. Have them on a dimmer switch.

• Paint: take some time to look at your color choices and preferences, as well as how natural light hits your kitchen throughout the day. Consider choosing a lighter color.
