Build-A-Bear Workshop’s Sensory-Friendly Opportunities

This event has passed, but check out our calendar[1] for fun today, this week, this month

Any parent of a child with special needs and considerations knows how overwhelming public outings can be for their little one.

Build-a-Bear Workshop is striving to make it easier and more accessible for children with autism and other special needs to enjoy a fun family outing with their Sensory-Friendly opportunities, held on the first Tuesday of every month during the first open hour of the day.

Children can experience the joy of creating their very own plush friend with dim lighting and little-to-no background music. Bear Builders will make sure each guest goes through the Build-a-Bear experience in a way that’s comfortable for them! All ages and siblings welcome!

Parents can also utilize Build-a-Bear’s step-by-step guide[2] to plan a visit in advance so everyone can better understand what to expect about the building process.
