Camp Achva is a fun summer experience for kids powered by the Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia!
As the premier Jewish day camp in Northern Virginia, Camp Achva follows a traditional day camp model with a vision to create a safe space for kids to learn, grow, build relationships, engage in meaningful programming, and embrace old and new traditions infused with Jewish culture. Through special events and leadership opportunities, campers of all ages look forward to programming that builds upon itself until campers are, ultimately, old enough to join in as staff and counselors themselves!
Plus, making camp even more accessible to all, Camp Achva is thrilled to offer full-service camp transportation from five convenient locations, including:
• Beth El Hebrew Congregation (Alexandria, VA)
• Congregation Etz Chayim (Arlington, VA)
• Congregation Adat Reyim (Springfield, VA)
• Nottoway Park (Vienna, VA)
• Pozez Jewish Community Center (Fairfax, VA)
Each Camp Achva day is jam-packed with fun! Campers, divided by age (rising KG-*th grade), follow a unique daily schedule, including engaging and meaningful activities. From arts, crafts, and sports to Israeli culture and drama, each camper finds something they love while making new friends and gaining new skills.
Older campers, rising 9th/10 graders, are invited to enjoy camp as CITs — Counselors-in-Training. This role represents a unique milestone in their lives and is filled with fun, friends, and leadership opportunities!
Campers can choose to attend the whole summer or a single 3-week session:
