This opportunity has passed, but check out our calendar for fun today, this week, this month!
Did you know the Angelika Film Center at the Mosaic District in Fairfax offers a Crybaby Matinee? This special program is designed for parents to see first-run, current movies with their babies! Relax and enjoy a film at the Angelika without worrying about unexpected tantrums or feedings in the dark. They keep the lights dimmed, the volume down, and the films coming.
Join them on April 15, 2019, for Shazam (details/tickets).
We all have a superhero inside of us — it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In 14-year-old Billy Batson’s case, all he needs to do is shout out one word to transform into the adult superhero Shazam. Still a kid at heart, Shazam revels in the new version of himself by doing what any other teen would do — have fun while testing out his newfound powers. But he’ll need to master them quickly before the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana can get his hands on Shazam’s magical abilities.
What is the Angelika? More than a movie theatre, the Angelika strives to be one of the most dynamic facilities in the Greater DC area and a vital part of the Northern Virginia arts community. Located in the heart of the Mosaic District in Fairfax, VA, they aim to play the best in world cinema, host local film festivals, and offer interesting cultural events and programming.
The Angelika Film Center is located in the heart of the Mosaic District at 2911 District Ave., Fairfax, VA 22031.
