On June 17, 2023, see this big outdoor aviation display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center (part of the National Air & Space Museum). In addition to these notable additions, explore the engineering and design achievements of the past century of flight. Talk with pilots, explore aircraft cockpits and cabins, enjoy plane spotting, and even learn how to spot and identify aircraft from anywhere.

Innovations in Flight is one of the museum’s most popular events of the year and draws large crowds. While parking is available ($15/car), visitors are encouraged to use public transportation to avoid lines and wait times to enter.

Admission to this Smithsonian destination is free; guests must pre-register to see the outdoor aviation display.
