PEP Parent Webinar: Fighting, Hitting, & Biting
April 30, 2024 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The toddler and preschooler years, ages 1-5, are a time of great change and growth. Children in this age group are beginning to learn how to manage their emotions, their bodies, and their relationships. When things are not going their way, emotions can flare and lead to meltdowns. These behaviors are hard enough for parents, but the most challenging behaviors are when young children hit, bite, or fight with another child.
This webinar on Challenging Behaviors in Toddlers & Preschoolers, on April 20, 2024, will explore:
• Why these flare-ups happen and understand how children’s bodies and brains are activated in the moment
• How to teach your child acceptable outlets for frustration
• How to respond as a parent in a respectful, effective way
• What to do when your preschooler acts aggressively toward a baby or younger sibling
