Become an astronomer and observe the sun safely with a filtered telescope at the Udvar-Hazy Center’s Second Saturday Sungazing program on May 11, 2024.

Knowledgeable staff from the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center will be there to answer questions and guide observing. Telescopes will be set up outside the museum entrance for guests to view a variety of features of the sun. If clouds are blocking the view of the sky, find us inside the museum’s Space Hangar to see images of the sun taken by a satellite.

This free event is open to the public. Parking is $15.
