The Snowflake Trail
Ranger Icy and his friends have come all the way from the North Pole to learn about woodland animals!
On the Snowflake Trail (at Cub Run Stream Valley, behind Cub Run RECenter), you’re invited to take a family-friendly walk through the woods to find the presents Ranger Icy has picked out for the animals. Open until January 31, 2022, guests will follow a trail of clues by scanning QR codes with the help of their smartphones. Each QR code will prompt a video that will lead you to your goal and teach you about the animals along the way.
The Snowflake Trail starts at a kiosk at the Cub Run Rec Center circle just across from the center’s main entrance. Then, it follows a loop trail through the forest and other habitats back to the center’s parking area. On both paved and mulched surfaces, the trail is just less than a mile long and features 13 stops total; view the trail map here.
This self-guided opportunity is free; no Rec Center entry pass is needed to participate.
