Spring Into Action Week offers free outdoor, hands-on fun, and exciting animal encounters at the Woodlands Education Center from April 12-19, 2025.
Dive into science, technology, recreation, engineering, art, and math with a jam-packed day of discovery!
• 12-4 pm: Games and hands-on exploration
• 4-8 pm: Environmental Game Night – Play eco-themed games, including EARTH, Wingspan, and more!
Discover the magic of the night sky! Head to Ellanor C. Lawrence Park to learn about the importance of preserving dark skies and explore celestial wonders.
• 2-5 pm: Dark Skies Education & Outreach
• 6-8 pm: Outdoor Documentary Screening (Alder Amphitheater)
Meet environmental partners working to keep our skies dark and full of stars, such as Watch the Green Grow, NOVA Dark Skies Chapter, NOVA Bird Alliance.
Get an up-close look at nature’s fiercest feathered hunters! There will be bird-themed activities in The LOOP all day long.
There’s a whole world beneath the surface—come explore the wonders of pond ecosystems!
• 2-5 pm: Pond-themed activities in The LOOP
• 6-7 pm: Pond Life Class – Meet experts meet experts in the field and learn how to protect these vital habitats
