Get hooked on fishing at Franklin Park’s Spring Trout Fishing Derby!

Enjoy a morning of family fun and fishing on May 3, 2025, with educational booths, practice casting areas, and magnet fishing for kids! Plus, there will be volunteers on-site to teach participants how to bait, cast, and hook their catch.

All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and anyone over 16 years must have a valid Virginia State Freshwater Fishing License to participate. Limited fishing poles and bait will be available, so bring your equipment if you have it.
