Did you know one-sixth of the world’s population celebrates the Lunar New Year? And, with the start of each Lunar New Year begins the zodiac cycle of a new animal?

2020 is the Year of the Rat, ranking first of Chinese zodiac signs!

Learn more about this annual celebration and more at Montessori of Gainesville’s Family Lunar New Year Celebration and Open House on February 8, 2020!

Free and open to the community, enjoy a morning of fun, including a colorful, traditional Lion Dance performed by the Wong People Kung Fu Association. Plus, children will have the opportunity to make crafts, such as lanterns and drums, play traditional games, and practice the art of paper-folding.

On this special day, you’ll also meet Montessori of Gainesville — Casa dei Bambini teachers and administrators, tour their campus and classrooms, and learn more about their Montessori programs for infants to kindergarten-age children.
