Loudoun County’s Health & Human Services has resources and services for women experiencing domestic violence or abuse. Their Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) coordinates the resources of multiple agencies — from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s office to the Loudoun County Public Schools. Their Victim Witness Program provides support, practical aid, and advocacy for victims.
They also work in partnership with the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS), a designated domestic violence and sexual assault crisis center (more info below).

Loudoun Citizens for Social Justice is best known for operating the only shelter specifically for women and domestic violence victims in Loudoun County, the Loudoun Area Women’s Shelter (LAWS). The organization also provides emotional support and practical advice for women, including education and help with safety, case management, basic needs, and referrals to area agencies.

While Good Shepherd does not focus solely on services for women and children, they do offer shelter for domestic violence victims through the Hebron Women’s and Children’s Center for a period of time.

Inova’s Community Services Division implements multiple initiatives to help families and individuals in need. The Partnership for Healthier Communities (PHC) is one such initiative that connects uninsured children and adults with quality healthcare services, low-cost medical care coverage, and additional programs to benefit the health and well-being of our most at-risk populations.
