The Herndon Children’s Center Offers Kids a Home Away From Home

By DullesMoms, Sept 2020

Parents only want the best for their children — and so does the Herndon Children’s Center (HCC), a non-profit early education and childcare center for infants as young as 3-months-old, up to 8-year-old children.

Excited to offer children a place they think of as a “home away from home,” the Herndon Children’s Center offers them a loving and caring environment. Young students develop social and academic skills through a combination of structured and experiential learning. Plus, skilled teachers offer a child-centered, hands-on approach to all ages, including their programs for:

• Infants
• Ones & Twos
• Preschoolers
• Pre-Kindergarteners
• Kindergarteners
• School-Age Kids

Knowing safety is a top priority, important steps are taken daily to ensure a happy, healthy environment. While HCC’s standards were high pre-pandemic, parents are grateful for the school’s extra steps, including:

• More frequent cleaning & sanitization, including toys & high touch-areas
• Nightly, professional deep cleaning
• Children’s use of indoor & outdoor shoes
• All bedding materials laundered daily, on-site
• Daily temperature screenings
• Hands-free check-ins
• & more!
