This event has passed, but check out our calendar[1] for fun today, this week, this month!

Common Sense Media, one of our favorite resources on the web, is hosting a webinar ideal for parents on October 8, 2020: Elections in the Digital Age: How to Cut Through the Noise.

This free webinar is part of their “Conversations with Common Sense” series. This series brings together authors, experts, and thought leaders for meaningful and timely dialogue on what it means to raise healthy and happy kids in the digital age.

There is no charge to attend this webinar, but advance registration[2] is requested.

Do you feel overwhelmed by the constant barrage of information on social media about the upcoming election? You’re not alone! From deepfake videos and misinformation campaigns to political ads and biased news coverage, it can be difficult to cut through the noise to find the facts. And with social media platforms as hotbeds for false information, it’s harder than ever to know what’s true.

In fact, a recent Common Sense/SurveyMonkey poll of young voters found that only about a quarter of 18- to 29-year-olds say they know where to get unbiased information about issues and candidates. These young people also report that they want to vote—but will they?

Join us for a discussion about how you, media, and tech companies can help give all voters, and especially young voters, the resources and tools necessary to separate fact from fiction and make sense of election news and social media coverage this election season and beyond.

This webinar is free. Click here[3] to learn more and pre-register.
