Cardboard Boat Regatta

This event has passed, but check out our calendar for fun today, this week, this month!

Set sail with Lake Anne’s 3rd Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta! On August 10, 2019, it will be a fun day for spectators and participants alike!

Before noon, attendees can enjoy watching more than 70 cardboard boats arrive, view the creative cardboard boat designs, and attend the Farmer’s Market in the Lake Anne Plaza parking lot. Racing the cardboard boats on Lake Anne will start at 1 pm; teams will compete in timed heats and awards will be given to boats in a variety of categories, including the “Titanic” award — the fastest to sink!

Plaza activities include a human hamster wheel that makes snow cones and misting stations. Plus, super soakers will be available to purchase, too!
