The National Zoo’s Easter & Earth Day Celebration

This event has passed, but check out our calendar for fun today, this week, this month!

Bunnies may be the official animal of Easter, but the Smithsonian National Zoo has lots of other furry friends, and they’re inviting families to join them for the zoo’s annual Easter Monday and Earth Day celebration on April 22, 2019!

Families are invited to enjoy egg hunts, live music, food trucks, and games while learning how they can help save the planet. This free event includes special demonstrations and keeper talks, as well as meet and greets with Smithsonian scientists and partners saving species at the Zoo and around the world.

Animals in a variety of sizes are exhibited throughout the 163-acre park — the Great Ape House, Reptile Discovery Center, and Giant Panda Habitat are the most popular attractions, as well as their new carousel.
