The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School is a Scout’s paradise — an ideal place for your troop to grow in physical strength, social skills, and self-esteem!

With the help of The Adventure Park’s trained staff, children can explore their climbing system, one of the safest in the world, while working together as a team to conquer fears and literally reach new plateaus! The Park, open year-round, weather-remitting, is very Scout-friendly offering discounts to groups, as well as amenities such as fire rings, picnic tables, and the ability to bring your own food and drink. Plus, don’t forget to ask about their patches!

The Park’s prime feature is The Adventure Forest — an amazing aerial forest challenge course with 13 trails, 29 zip lines, six difficulty levels, and almost 200 challenge bridges. The Adventure Forest is the largest forest climbing park in the nation!

Additionally, the Park offers The Monkey Grove — 10 trees that children and adults can climb (much like a rock wall) and The Labyrinth — an incredible structure that offers climbers 40+ elements with mixed difficulty levels. The Labyrinth is typically available by private reservations including birthday parties, Scouts, or group events for climbers of mixed ages/experience.

Minimums vary from opportunity to opportunity, but The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School has opportunities for children as young as 5-years-old and weighs at least 30 lbs. See all park rules and participant requirements, including supervision requirements for all ages here.

The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School is located at 16701 Norwood Rd., Sandy Spring, MD 20860.
