For decades, Lopez Studios Performing Arts Preparatory School has offered professionally taught performing arts-related programs to thousands. This May, they invite the community to see their performers live on stage for four full-length, professional productions of Shrek Jr, the Musical:
Shrek the Musical, Jr is based on the Oscar-winning film and Tony Award-winning Broadway musical! Join this loveable ogre as he finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad — a tiny terror with big ambitions.
When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but this story wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way!
Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek the Musical, Jr is a fun show with a powerful message for the whole family! See it from May 18-20, 2023, at Franklin Park Performing & Visual Arts Center, a 260-seat, state-of-the-art theatre in the heart of Loudoun County.
