If you have a skateboarder in your home, Skate the Wake is a can’t-miss opportunity!
On May 13, 2023, at Wakefield Skate Park, enjoy a day filled with skateboarding, music, and all-around fun! You’ll get the chance to meet Mimi Knoop, a five-time X-Games medalist and the coach of the USA Skateboarding team, take in a trick clinic, and even participate in the Best Trick contest. If you’re new to skateboarding, visit the beginner skater tent and learn how to get started in skateboarding.
Derran Eaddy, founder of Solstik Music, will DJ this event, and there will be plenty of local vendors, a chance to try your hand at graffiti art on the Wakefield skate shack, make-and-take friendship bracelets, raffles, and more. Need work done on your bike? There will be bike maintenance available, too!
This event is free and held rain or shine.
