Families, save the date for a day of live children’s performances on May 1, 2021, and celebrate spring with an afternoon of family entertainment!

Hosted outdoors at Walker Nature Center, the entertainment includes:

The Rainbow Rock Band
Kids won’t be able to resist the fun, upbeat sounds of the Rainbow Rock Band, spearheaded by the bright-haired Rainbow Lady and her other musical friends. At this band’s lively performances, young rockers are encouraged to stand up, dance, and play along!

Marsha and the Positrons
This DC-based kindie band (kids + indie rock) is known for shows that are a ton of family-friendly fun! Both playful and educational, their original songs about science and how the world works are entertaining for adults and kids alike. In addition to getting audiences singing along and dancing to songs that inspire curiosity about science, they also play traditional favorites, kid-appropriate pop covers, and parodies!

Featuring Jody Marshall on hammered dulcimer and Jim Queen on fiddle, Chrysalis will serve up some toe-tapping fun with lilting jigs, rollicking reels, and happy hornpipes from traditions on both sides of the pond.

Pre-registration is required (details below).
