TimberNook Loudoun County gives children outdoor, sensory-rich experiences that inspire, restore, and challenge their minds and bodies! They strive to be the “living example” of what real, authentic outdoor play should look like.

TimberNook invites your children of all abilities to join them this summer for opportunities that span their 100+ acre landscape (on the property of the Freedom Center). Their space offers trails, creeks, and wooded acreage with bathroom accessibility and campsites for the family.

Offering more than natural resources for outdoor exploration, TimberNook Loudoun County’s unique learning experiences are overseen by an on-site Certified TimberNook provider, who is also a licensed/registered Occupational Therapist for True Life Connection LLC (CPR/First Aid Certified). Plus, all programs maintain at least an 8:1 child-to-adult ratio!

Going Wild
June 12-16, 2023
Ages 8-12

This classic TimberNook program is for older children who enjoy taking play to a whole new level! At this week-long camp, they’ll enjoy collaborative, creative, and sensory-immersive play experiences with friends, new and old. Plus, with the theme of Medieval Times, children will have the opportunity to build castles and take on roles such as knights and dragons!

Friends in the Wild
June 19-23, 2023
Ages 1.5-4

At this week-long parent-child camp, become immersed in a world of woodland friends with your little explorer! Children, along with a stuffed animal from home, will enjoy imaginative, sensational journeys, including the chance to create handcrafted items for their special stuffed friend! In addition, parents will take away activity ideas and supervision guidance on how to inspire play that encourages their child in many areas of development.

Enchanted
July 17-21, 2023
Ages 4-8

Children will dive deep into their imaginations as they bring dramatic roles to life during this magical week-long camp! They’ll have the opportunity to become lost boys or girls, pirates, or fairies, as they create large-scale pirate ships, pixie hollows, and lost kid hideouts.

Village Folks
July 31-Aug 4, 2023
Ages 8-12

Young campers will collaborate with eachother to build a village out of unique materials with tools that allow them to practice new skills. This program is sure to inspire hours of building, creative problem-solving, and, most importantly, play!

Ages 4-8

At this week-long camp, young explorers will become immersed in a world of woodland friends! Children, along with a stuffed animal from home, will enjoy imaginative, sensational journeys, including the chance to create handcrafted items for their special friend! Make camp even better by extending your child’s day 2 hours.
