Part of the Smithsonian family, the Udvar-Hazy Center is a great place for aerial enthusiasts or anyone interested in exploring anything that has to do with air and space! Like it’s sister museum, the Udvar-Hazy Center showcases the history and science of aviation and spaceflight as well as planetary science and terrestrial geology/geophysics.
Its two huge hangars display thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery! The museum also boasts an IMAX Theater and an observation tower that gives visitors a 360-degree bird’s-eye view of Dulles International Airport and the surrounding area.
The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is located at 14390 Air & Space Museum Pkwy., Chantilly, VA 20151.
