The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, commonly known as the Udvar-Hazy Center, is the second location of the National Air and Space Museum (the original of which is located on the National Mall in Washington, DC). After a multi-month closure, they are now open again!
To ensure guests’ safety, each visitor must reserve a free timed-entry pass[1] and follow the safety requirements listed here[2]. Admission is still 10 am to 5:30 pm, and parking is free after 4 pm.
What is the Udvar-Hazy Center? Part of the Smithsonian family, the Udvar-Hazy Center is a great place for aerial enthusiasts or anyone interested in exploring anything that has to do with air and space! Like its sister museum, the Udvar-Hazy Center showcases the history and science of aviation and spaceflight, as well as planetary science and terrestrial geology/geophysics.

Its two huge hangars display thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery! The museum also boasts an IMAX Theater and an observation tower that gives visitors a 360-degree bird’s-eye view of Dulles International Airport and the surrounding area.
The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is located at 14390 Air & Space Museum Pkwy., Chantilly, VA 20151.
