SUMMARY:Bluemont Fair @ Bluemont Fairgrounds
DESCRIPTION:Country charm meets mountain air! You’re invited to the Bluemont Fair on September 19-20\, 2026\, when a 200-year-old village in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains transforms into an old-fashioned country fair. \nBrowse dozens of juried crafters and watch potters\, woodturners\, and weavers at work. Follow the music to three stages of Americana\, roots\, bluegrass\, and folk. Hungry? The EE Lake Store hosts a huge homemade bake sale (gluten-free\, too!)\, the Culinary Marketplace stocks local syrups\, honey\, and hot sauce\, and the UMC Hospitality Center serves cold drinks\, hot dogs\, and famous apple dumplings for a good cause. \nChildren’s Fair\nEnjoy free face painting\, glitter tattoos\, games\, crafts\, bubbles\, and hay bales behind the Community Center\, plus a Young Entrepreneur section\, where crafters 18 and under sell their wares. \nPetting Zoo\nStep inside to meet the animals — past guests have included a camel and a wallaby! \nModel Trains & a Real Caboose\nDiscover an extensive NTRAK model train display upstairs in the Community Center\, plus a real caboose to climb aboard out back. \nFiber Arts\nPet alpacas\, angora rabbits\, and goats at the Creekside Fiber Arts Field\, and watch free spinning\, weaving\, and felting demonstrations. \nHands-On History\nMeet an archaeologist with local finds\, watch a blacksmith at work\, take in the Waterford Quilt Guild’s quilt show\, and tour Bluemont’s 1825 schoolhouse. \nAmerica’s 250th Birthday\nThe free Plaster Museum of Bluemont Heritage spotlights Loudoun County’s role in the Revolutionary War — sign your name to their very own Declaration of Independence. \nA Little Extra Fun\nFee-based add-ons include pony rides\, the barrel train ride to the lake\, the rock climbing wall\, and beer and wine tasting for the grown-ups. \nBring your best homemade pickles and pies to Saturday morning’s Pickle & Pie Contest\, then swing by the Community Center early Saturday afternoon to taste the winners — competing pies are sold by the slice once judging wraps up. \nAdmission is free for children 9 and under; a modest gate admission (cash or credit) covers every activity area unless otherwise noted. See the full activity lineup here\, and find complete admission and parking details here.
