DESCRIPTION:Ever wondered how to play with your child? Concerned you might not be “doing it right\,” not doing enough\, or maybe too much? You’re not alone! \nJoin Occupational Therapist Melissa Grant and Speech Language Pathologist Abby Drabik from FUNdamentals and Building Blocks for this cooperative play group designed to lead families through play. \nSensory Playtime is offered on the first and third Fridays of each month. In this 45-minute class\, you and your child (ages 1 to 5) will gain confidence from experts on how to naturally use toys to promote fine motor and speech/language skills! \nWhile storytimes are free for members\, there is a drop-in fee for nonmembers. The best storytime ever! \nJoin Ms. Melissa\, a 30-year+ preschool teaching veteran\, at The Toy Nest for learning and fun as she combines teaching and play in everyone’s favorite children’s books. The themes will vary with the seasons\, and the mood will be fun! Plus\, she’ll incorporate play ideas in each session for you to continue the fun at home. \nPlayful Storytimes are offered on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. Storytime runs from 9-9:30 am\, plus 30 minutes of in-library play after storytime ends \nWhile storytimes are free for members\, there is a drop-in fee for nonmembers.
