Discover how enslaved men and women at Mount Vernon defined their agency and the legacies they left behind when George Washington’s Mount Vernon celebrates Juneteenth with Family Days on June 19-22, 2024!

Each day, families can visit the Family Hub for family activities, enjoy performances and demonstrations, go on a tour, and more. You’ll learn about Ona Judge, Christopher Sheels, and Mount Vernon’s many enslaved people who resisted enslavement and sought freedom before the Emancipation Proclamation.
