Come see the Locke’s Mill colonial-era grist mill in action, on March 23, 2024, as the grinding season begins on the Shenandoah River! Learn about the history and restoration of this 19th-century facility and its role today as a Certified Organic stone-ground mill.

Visitors will have a chance to tour all three, sample Locke’s Mill grits and baked goods, and partake in a bread-tasting lineup that features a dozen types of single-grain loaves made with the mill’s heritage flours. Plus, meet animals from Ayrshire Farm!

Admission is free, and a wide selection of freshly ground grains and flours will be available for purchase.
