Nature Playce is a 1/3-acre, unstructured woodland play area near the Hidden Oaks Nature Center. It’s the perfect place to introduce young children to the wonders of nature — an opportunity for kids just to go outside and play in the woods!
While there, kids are invited to make mud pies, dig in woodchips and leaf piles, make ground forts, or just rest next to a tree and watch clouds float past. Plus, drop into Hidden Oaks Nature Center (adjacent to Nature Playce) and ask about becoming an Official Nature Snooper! The Center is also home to a few live animals, and kids can enjoy hands-on activities and interactive exhibits, too!
Nature Playce is free to visit, open from dusk until dawn.
Nature Playce and Hidden Oaks Nature Center are part of Annandale District Park, a 52-acre oasis of nature. The park boasts woodland trails, ponds, creeks, and more.
